Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Operations Coordinator serves as a key support role within warehouse operations, combining inventory control, quality assurance, customer issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination responsibilities. This position works closely with warehouse personnel, remote teams, and customer-facing departments to investigate operational issues, coordinate non-standard tasks, and ensure accurate and efficient warehouse execution.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing hands-on warehouse responsibilities with administrative and problem-solving tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Warehouse Operations Support
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Process product returns, including inspection, documentation, and system updates
- Generate and analyze inventory and operational reports from ERP systems
- Assist with inventory adjustments and transaction verification
- Support daily warehouse operations and special handling requests as needed
Quality Control & Issue Investigation
- Investigate quality control concerns related to inventory, picking, packing, and shipping
- Perform audits of warehouse processes to identify operational errors or inefficiencies
- Document findings and communicate corrective actions to leadership
- Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor recurring operational issues and recommend preventative measures
Customer & Shipment Issue Resolution
- Investigate damaged shipments, shortages, mis-shipped items, and other customer-related operational issues
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel and remote teams to determine causes and resolutions
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up regarding operational concerns
- Assist in documenting and tracking customer-impacting issues for process improvement purposes
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a primary warehouse point of contact for remote operational and customer support teams
- Coordinate completion of tasks that fall outside standard warehouse workflows
- Support special projects, operational exceptions, and priority requests
- Maintain clear communication between warehouse operations and remote departments
- Assist leadership with operational reporting and task coordination
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety procedures
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly, if certified
- Support company initiatives focused on operational excellence and workplace safety
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of warehouse, inventory control, logistics, or operations experience preferred
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving and investigative mindset
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems
- Previous inventory control or quality assurance experience
