About Us:
Muscle Rod Shop Inc. is a high-end custom automotive shop specializing in classic restorations, muscle cars, and one-of-a-kind builds. We take pride in delivering show-quality finishes and craftsmanship that stands out on the road and at events.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Car Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in automotive painting, a strong eye for detail, and a passion for delivering flawless finishes on custom and classic vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:

ยทย  ย  ย  ย Prepare vehicle surfaces for paint (sanding, masking, priming) after body work (400 grit and up)
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Mix and match custom paint colors and finishes
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Apply basecoat, clearcoat, and specialty finishes (metallics, pearls, candies, etc.)
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Wet sand, buff, and polish to achieve show-quality results
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Inspect completed work to ensure top-tier quality standards
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Maintain a clean and organized workspace
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Collaborate with fabricators and builders to meet project timelines
Qualifications:

ยทย  ย  ย  ย 3+ years of experience in automotive painting (custom or restoration preferred)
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Strong knowledge of paint systems, materials, and application techniques
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Experience with HVLP spray guns and paint booth operations
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Ability to color match and blend seamlessly
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Ability to work independently and as part of a team
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Valid driverโ€™s license
Preferred Qualifications:

ยทย  ย  ย  ย Experience with show cars or concours-level finishes
ยทย  ย  ย  ย Knowledge of bodywork and minor repair
