Description

The Class A/B CDL Driver is responsible for delivery of fertilizer, chemical and grain with a high value placed on service and retaining the customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver fertilizer/chemical to customers and other branches during farming season
  • Grain hauling when not in farming season
  • Maintain timely, accurate records on sales, inventories, and logbooks
  • Always maintain safety standards
  • Maintain daily communications with dispatch
  • Operate within the standards set by USDOT and FMCSR
  • All other general duties as needed


Requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Agriculture and/or farming experience
  • Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Knowledge of basic commercial truck maintenance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals
  • Ability to follow established processes
  • Basic knowledge of computers and basic software
  • Ability to manage time effectively

Education:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Class A CDL license

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to reach, pull and lift 50+ lbs
  • Able to handle repetitive lift and pull motion
  • Able to read documents with fine print
  • Able to use a keyboard
  • Able to hear effectively on the phone
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
