Our client is a leading company in the agro-industrial sector, specializing in the development and commercialization of innovative solutions aimed at improving agricultural product quality. With a strong presence in Des Moines, Iowa, they are expanding their operations to Illinois and South Dakota, providing effective logistical solutions and efficient product delivery.

About the Role:

The company is seeking a Technical Sales Representative responsible for promoting and selling an advanced liquid coating technology for granular fertilizers to industrial clients, fertilizer manufacturers, distributors, and large agricultural operations.

This role combines technical expertise with strategic sales execution, focusing on building long-term partnerships, delivering technical value, and supporting large-scale commercial adoption of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell the liquid coating technology to fertilizer manufacturers, industrial partners, cooperatives, and large distribution centers.
  • Develop and manage strategic key accounts within Iowa, with future expansion into Illinois and South Dakota.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and performance evaluations.
  • Act as a technical advisor to customers, providing recommendations on product application and operational optimization.
  • Collaborate with R&D, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure successful product implementation.
  • Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development and commercial strategy.
  • Support expansion of the commercial portfolio, including multifunctional adjuvants and foliar fertilizers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the agro-industrial sector.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within agriculture, fertilizers, chemicals, or industrial inputs.
  • Strong technical understanding of fertilizers, crop nutrition, or related technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and strategic accounts.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
