Description:

Landus Cooperative is currently seeking an individual that will safely haul grain, fertilizer, and associated materials and equipment between locations while maintaining a clean & efficient running truck and trailer. Local runs allow for home every night, very few exceptions. This position will assist both the Collins and Mitchellville hub locations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Proper communications with truck dispatcher, shop personnel, and regional transportation supervisor.
  • Haul grain, dry & liquid fertilizer to and from farms and between company locations.
  • Liquid & dry fertilizer tending to applicators.
  • Efficient operation of semi tractor and trailer.
  • Operate semi truck/trailer in a safe and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of vehicle equipment.
  • Follow all Landus Cooperative safety policies and procedures.
  • Follow all State and federal driving laws.
  • Follow all applicable state DOT rules and regulations.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections.
  • Participate in company DOT drug and alcohol program.
  • Maintain clean truck/trailer.
  • Monitor vehicles for regular maintenance/service needs.
  • Assist with vehicle repair and maintenance when needed on the road or in the shop.
  • Complete daily truck log sheets properly.
  • Assist all departments with operational duties as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Class A CDL with required endorsements or able to obtain one and maintain current DOT physical.
  • This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in our motor vehicle safety policy.
