SUMMARY:
Maintenance, servicing, repairing, and overhauling of equipment. Analysis of errors and failures of equipment under application of diagnostic systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze errors and failures of equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic components and electrical/electronic systems by using diagnostic systems.
  • Determine the nature and extent of defects and repair damage economically.
  • Make suggestions to repair defects and implement the repaired equipment into operation.
  • Perform maintenance and repair/assembly work.
  • Extensions and modifications to plans, drawings, and instructions.
  • Determine assembly sequences and procure or arrange procurement of parts.
  • Analyze and eliminate flaws and/or assist in developing solutions to eliminate flaws.
  • Measures for efficient maintenance/upkeep and contributes to meet maintenance standards.
  • Create new systems and extensions according to predefined plans.
  • Assist with training new employees as needed.
  • Any and all other duties assigned by the Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills of machinery
  • Fundamentals of pneumatics, component repair, and basics of pneumatic control logic
  • Hydraulic fundamentals through motion controls
  • Basic understanding of tools
  • Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties (12 hours max)

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Journeyman Electrician or Plumbing
  • Forklift Certification
  • Fall Safety Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, grip, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Ability to work around industrial machinery, oils, and coolants in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed footwear.
