As a Pub Runner / Bar Support Staff, you will be an integral part of our dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our bar and outdoor spaces while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.


Key Responsibilities

- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing glassware in the bar area to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

- Serve as a runner, delivering food and beverages promptly to guests both inside and on the lawn

- Support outdoor guest areas by helping keep fire pits maintained and ensuring outdoor spaces are welcoming and comfortable

- Assist guests with parking and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit

- Perform general cleaning and organization duties to uphold the cleanliness and safety of the work environment

- Support other team members with additional assigned duties as needed to ensure smooth operations


Skills and Qualifications

- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to lift and carry items such as glassware and supplies

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS FOR Pub Runner / Bar Support Staff (Performed with or without reasonable accommodation)

  • Set-up and close-down tasting room by assigned check lists
  • Know our food menu and ingredients
  • Know beer menu and pay attention to color of beer. Understand beer styles. Read the beer sheets and develop a knowledge of our beers on tap
  • Attend monthly educational and training meetings
  • Assist servers and bartenders by running food in the window or drinks from the bar
  • Operate with the full hands in and full hands out motto
  • Communicate with guests at the front door and beyond how service works at Crux Fermentation Project
  • Develop a complete knowledge of the history of the brewery and owners
  • Pay attention to visually intoxicated persons and communicate to all service staff. Know and use the tools in watching for and identifying visually intoxicate people
  • Arrive on time and ready to work. Ready to work is checking in with the lead on duty and other staff to know where you are needed first.
  • Communicate with a floor supervisor if a guest may be unhappy.
  • Provide parking direction when assigned.
  • Assist brewers with packaging when assigned packaging shifts as needed.
  • Other duties as directed.

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Certifications: OLCC Service Permit, Oregon Food Handler
  • Drug Free
  • Reliable transportation for work
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
  • Must be able to work in hot, cold, and wet environments
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
