A fenestration job involves the design, manufacturing, installation, or maintenance of windows, doors, and other openings in buildings. Professionals in this field work with materials like glass, aluminum, and wood to ensure energy efficiency, security, and aesthetic appeal. Roles can include installers, project managers, sales representatives, and quality control specialists. Fenestration plays a crucial role in construction and architecture, impacting a building’s functionality and performance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the fenestration position, and why are they important?

To thrive in Fenestration, you need a strong understanding of window and door systems, construction principles, and building codes, often supported by relevant experience or technical certifications. Familiarity with architectural drawings, measurement tools, and specialized software like AutoCAD or manufacturer-specific design programs is typical. About insulbar

Insulbar is the global benchmark for thermal break solutions in aluminum fenestration systems. Manufactured by Ensinger, a world leader in high-performance engineering plastics, insulbar products are trusted by leading window, door, and façade manufacturers across the world.

We operate at the premium end of the market - where performance, reliability, and technical credibility matter. Our customers are not just buying a commodity; they partner with insulbar to solve complex thermal, structural, and compliance challenges.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven, commercially savvy Territory Manager to help accelerate growth across the Midwestern United States. This is a high-impact role managing existing strategic accounts while developing new business with fabricators, system suppliers, and key influencers across the commercial fenestration ecosystem.

You will be the face of insulbar in the region - building relationships, influencing specifications, supporting complex projects, and helping customers win work through better technical solutions across window, door, and façade applications.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a consultative sales environment, brings experience in the windows, doors and façade industry, enjoys autonomy, and wants to represent a best-in-class product backed by a global organization.

What You Will Do

  • Own and grow insulbar sales across the Midwest territory
  • Manage and expand existing relationships with our commercial window, door, and façade manufacturers
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities
  • Support customers on technical applications, project specifications, and approvals
  • Work closely with internal engineering, production, and technical support teams
  • Track market activity, key projects, and competitive trends
  • Represent insulbar at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits
  • Drive sustainable, long-term growth for the business unit

Why Join insulbar?

  • Represent a market-leading, premium product with strong brand recognition
  • Join a stable, family owned, global organization
  • High autonomy and trust - manage your territory like it’s your own business
  • Collaborative culture with deep technical expertise behind you
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and performance
  • Comprehensive benefits package

Who We Are Looking For

You are a motivated self-starter who understands how commercial building products are sold and how trust is earned in this industry.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of commercial fenestration, or construction.
  • Experience with aluminum window, door, and façade systems
  • Proven success in technical or consultative B2B sales
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and long-term projects
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working independently across a large geographic territory
  • Willingness to travel (~40–50%)

Preferred Background

  • 7–10+ years of experience in commercial building products, fenestration, or other construction materials
  • Experience working with fabricators, system houses, or spec-driven sales
  • Technical aptitude and ability to engage credibly with engineers and operations teams

The ideal candidate will reside within the Midwest corridor (Kansas to Kentucky), near a major airport. Candidates willing to relocate will also be considered.
