Job description

Take the Lead. Build a Career.

Security Works is looking for an experienced Fence Installation Crew Leader/Foreman who is ready to take the next step in their career.

If you know fence installation, take pride in quality workmanship, and have the ability to lead a crew and keep a job moving, we want to talk to you.

This isn't just an installer position. As a Crew Leader/Foreman, you'll take ownership of the jobsite, lead and develop your crew, communicate with customers and project managers, and make sure every installation is completed safely, professionally, and to our standards.

We're looking for someone who wants responsibility, takes pride in a job well done, and wants to be part of a team that recognizes experience and leadership.

What You'll Do:
As a Fence Installation Crew Leader, you'll be responsible for leading your crew in the field and helping ensure successful projects from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and work alongside your fence installation crew at jobsites.
  • Direct daily field activities and keep the crew productive and organized.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and jobsites are properly maintained.
  • Deliver high-quality installations that meet company and customer expectations.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to crew members.
  • Communicate professionally with customers while on site.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed of job progress, schedule changes, challenges, and field conditions.
  • Identify potential problems and communicate them quickly so they can be resolved.
  • Complete accurate daily job paperwork and project documentation.
  • Maintain accountability for company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials.

A Typical Day:
You'll start the day by meeting with the Project Manager to review the day's project and expectations. From there, you'll make sure your truck has the tools, equipment, and materials your crew needs before heading to the jobsite.

Once on site, you'll check in with the customer, organize your crew, and lead the installation. Throughout the day, you'll make sure the work is being completed safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards.
Before leaving, you'll ensure the jobsite is clean and secure, including properly protecting open holes and work areas with cones, caution tape, temporary fencing, or other appropriate safety measures.

At the end of the day, you'll report project progress, complete the required paperwork, and coordinate with the Project Manager to prepare for the following day's work.

What We're Looking For:
We're looking for an experienced fence professional who is ready to lead.

Qualified candidates should have:
  • 5+ years of fence installation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fence installation methods, tools, materials, and jobsite practices.
  • The ability and willingness to lead, supervise, and develop a field crew.
  • A strong commitment to workplace and jobsite safety.
  • The ability to perform physical work throughout the day and lift up to approximately 80 lbs.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A professional, customer-service-oriented attitude.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with customers, crew members, and Project Managers.
  • Pride in maintaining a professional appearance and representing Security Works well in the field.
  • The ability to complete required job documentation accurately and on time.
  • The ability to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug screening, and background check.
