Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Director with deep expertise in Hygiene-focused nonwoven materials to lead all quality functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction for materials used in personal care applications such as baby care, feminine hygiene, and adult incontinence products.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing quality systems in hygiene nonwovens and has successfully supported large, highly demanding consumer goods customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee product quality, process control, and variation reduction in high-speed nonwoven lines (e.g., spunbond, meltblown, carded).
  • Establish and maintain strict hygiene and contamination control protocols (foreign material prevention, line clearance, etc.).
  • Lead root cause analysis and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for customer complaints and internal non-conformances.
  • Lead internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring continuous audit readiness, including for major CPG customers.
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and engineering on new product launches, material qualifications, and process optimization.
  • Develop, track, and report quality KPIs (PPM, complaints, cost of poor quality) to drive performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Textile, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in quality roles within hygiene and manufacturing.
  • Strong experience in hygiene nonwovens or related materials is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large consumer packaged goods customers.
  • Deep understanding of product performance requirements, nonwoven manufacturing processes (spunbond, meltblown, carded, airlaid)
  • Expertise in quality tools: Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA.
  • Experience with ISO-based quality systems and customer-specific standards.
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
