Welder


Are you an experienced Welder who takes pride in precision welding and quality craftsmanship? We're looking for skilled professionals with strong MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and other structural/pipe welding experience to join our growing mechanical construction team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality pipe welding using MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), Gas-Shielded Arc, and Submerged Arc welding processes.
  • Fit, align, tack, and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and other piping materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair commercial and industrial piping systems.
  • Prepare pipe by cutting, beveling, threading, grooving, and fitting materials for welding.
  • Install valves, hangers, fittings, supports, and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform weld inspections and pressure testing to verify system integrity.
  • Operate welding machines, torches, pipe threaders, beveling equipment, and other fabrication tools.
  • Assist with HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical piping, and industrial process systems as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following OSHA and company safety standards.


What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of Welding experience in commercial or industrial construction preferred.
  • Strong experience welding pipe using MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), Gas-Shielded Arc, and/or Submerged Arc processes.
  • Ability to produce clean, high-quality welds that meet project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials.
  • Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and isometric drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of pipe fabrication, layout, installation, and testing.
  • Experience safely operating welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to producing quality work.
  • Stable work history and strong work ethic.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Current welding certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with commercial mechanical systems, industrial piping, HVAC piping, steam, chilled water, medical gas, or process piping is preferred.
  • Willingness to continue developing skills through company training and career advancement programs.
  • Acceptable Driving Record


Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 80 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 25 pounds routinely.
  • Climb ladders and scaffolding, kneel, crawl, bend, reach, and work in confined spaces.
  • Work safely in outdoor environments, extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and other construction site conditions.
  • Wear required PPE, including respirators and welding protection, and follow all company safety requirements.
