Position Overview

Oliver Inc. is seeking a Press Operator/ Feeder to support our Press Department. In this role, you will assist the Pressman with the setup, operation, and maintenance of press equipment, with a primary focus on paper handling and press support functions. This is a great opportunity for someone with printing experience who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

SHIFT: 2nd or 3rd

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a Press Operator/Feeder, you will:

  • Review daily production schedule and prepare materials for upcoming jobs
  • Verify paper stock using load tags and job specifications
  • Unload, stage, and load paper into press feeders
  • Set and adjust paper feed systems, including double sheet detectors and pressure settings
  • Monitor paper flow, feeder performance, and press operation during runs
  • Assist the Pressman with press operation and material handling
  • Maintain ink and water levels during production
  • Clean and maintain press components, including blankets and supplies
  • Retrieve, label, and store printing plates after each run
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance as directed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Press Operator/Feeder if your background includes:

  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in a printing or manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of press operations and paper handling
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with production equipment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills (including fractions and measurements)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor equipment performance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and handle materials throughout the shift
