Job description

UVA Bookstore Work Study Student Jobs
The UVA Bookstore is the official on-Grounds store for the University of Virginia. We are looking for a team of enthusiastic students who have an interest in developing skills in a real world business environment. You will gain experience in customer service, merchandising, marketing, technology and books. Possible positions include cashiering, clothing, gift, supplies, and textbook sales associates. If you are interested and would like to pursue a work study job that has the flexibility to accommodate your academic schedule and interests over the 2026-27 school year please check out the UVA Bookstore.
Basic duties and responsibilities will vary but may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Cashiering
  • Stocking the sales floor with merchandise
  • Greeting customers
  • Assisting customers/answering questions
  • Cleaning and straightening

Compensation: $13/hr.
Anticipated Assignment Dates: August 25, 2026 - May 4, 2027
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Current UVA student. Must be eligible for federal work-study.
Experience: None
Licensure: None
