About the Role:

The position will require leading day to day administrative and functional duties such as researching, tracking, organizing, analyzing and presenting a wide range of data from program staff as well as customers. Responsibilities include defining and recording current and future business processes and identify potential improvements. Must exhibit excellent problem solving and data analysis skills as well as a proven ability to work independently.

 

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Experience managing SaaS projects. 
    • Solid understanding of Agile development life cycle and knowledge in both Agile and traditional project management.
    • Perform initial agile team assessments; recommend and assist with the implementation of agile team structure.
    • Be a successful change agent both motivating the change and implementing it.
    • Schedule and execute project meetings, maintain project life-cycle documentation and tactical and strategic project tracking systems, primarily Atlassian Confluence, Jira and Portfolio.
    • Manage existing and define new business process flows to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Liaise with project stakeholders to help coordinate agile across the large program.
    • Communicate in writing and verbally with internal and external customers.
    • Prepare and deliver status updates, working sessions, and program area updates.
    • Assist project personnel in resolving complex program problems.
    • Collect and schedule work for Security, Automation QA, DBA, and DevOps teams.
    • Establish and complete tasks as assigned within deadlines.
    • Participate in peer reviews.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in government or corporate environment as project manager or equivalent experience preferred 
    • 5+ years of experience in complex software development programs preferred 
    • 3+ years technical experience with increasing levels of responsibility providing technical oversight, stakeholder management and participation, problem resolution preferred 
    • 3+ years of execution per iterative/agile development per scrum, Kanban, etc. preferred 
    • Detailed understanding of software development life cycles including waterfall and Agile
    • High proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in MS Project, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) or similar project tracking tools
    • High proficiency in presentation and web communication tools
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff
    • Self-starter with strong self-management skills
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
    • 5+ years of experience in developing and managing teams preferred 
    • Customer service-oriented
    • Experience with Agile methodologies and principles.
    • Familiar with information technology architecture, governance, and data exchange.
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Scrum Master Professional (CSP)
    • Certifications such as CSM or Security+
    • PMP certificate

    Citizenship & Clearance Requirements:

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance per Federal requirement.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen
    • Must pass a background investigation

    Target Salary Range

    Compensation for roles at Synergy is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the requirements of the role; level of experience; education and certifications; the individual’s combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities; as well as alignment with market data, federal and state laws, and other business and contract considerations. The estimated pay range for this position is: $83,000 – $118,000. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and represent just one component of Synergy’s total compensation package for employees.
