Position Summary: 

The RN Director of Nursing (DON), Resident is a leadership role designed to prepare an aspiring nurse leader for a future Director of Nursing role. Comprehensive training in all aspects of nursing home operations is provided to the candidate, to include rotating through various departments to gain an in-depth understanding of clinical care, nursing operations, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, staff management, and overall facility management. The Director of Nursing, Resident will work closely with department heads to develop the skills necessary to manage and lead the nursing department. After the residency, the candidate will assume a nursing leadership role per program requirement/agreement.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work.

  • Must possess an active CPR certification for healthcare providers by an American Heart Association (AHA) approved provider.

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a supervisory role in a nursing facility.

  • Ability to travel to the community providing the residency.
