Description:

Infotrend is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Capture Analyst to support our federal business development and growth organization. This role will focus on researching federal markets, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, analyzing customer and competitor information, and developing actionable intelligence to support capture strategies.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience supporting federal business development, capture, proposal operations, market intelligence, competitive intelligence, or a related growth function. This individual should be an analytical thinker, a strong researcher and communicator, and comfortable working with federal procurement databases and market-intelligence platforms. This role is fully remote.

Role Responsibilities:

 • Research and synthesize market, customer, and competitive intelligence through publicly available sources, industry publications, government websites, and subscription research platforms.
• Monitor, research, and analyze federal procurement databases including SAM.gov, GovWin IQ, USAspending.gov, FPDS, GSA eBuy, Interact, and other government and commercial market intelligence tools to identify, qualify, and assess new business opportunities.
• Research agency budgets, strategic initiatives, procurement forecasts, and technology modernization priorities to identify emerging opportunities.
• Support identification, qualification, and pursuit of Requests for Information (RFIs), Sources Sought notices, Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Collect, analyze, and interpret market, customer, incumbent, and competitive data to develop actionable recommendations for capture strategies, teaming approaches, and opportunity qualification.
• Research incumbent contractors, contract vehicles, agency buying patterns, and potential teaming partners to support capture planning.
• Participate in industry days, customer events, professional associations, and networking opportunities to enhance market awareness.
• Maintain accurate opportunity, customer, and competitive intelligence within the company's CRM and business development systems.
• Prepare executive summaries, market assessments, competitive analyses, and briefing materials for Business Development and Executive Leadership.
• Coordinate closely with Business Development, Capture Managers, Operations, Proposal Management, Recruiting, and Technical Leadership throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
• Support Business Development leadership with pipeline reporting, KPI tracking, market trends, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Participate in research supporting strategic planning, account planning, proposal development, and executive presentations.
• Develop competitive assessments, win strategy inputs, customer profiles, and agency landscape analyses.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

 • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Government, Political Science, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience supporting federal business development, capture, proposal operations, market intelligence, competitive intelligence, or growth strategy.
• Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise recommendations.
• Experience using federal market intelligence and procurement tools such as GovWin IQ, SAM.gov, USAspending.gov, FPDS, GSA eBuy, or similar platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand federal agencies, missions, procurement trends, and competitive landscapes.

• U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting federal business development, capture, or market intelligence efforts within one or more of the following federal markets is highly desirable:
• Federal Financial Regulatory Agencies, including organizations such as the SEC, CFPB, Treasury, FDIC, FTC, or similar financial oversight agencies.
• Federal Health IT Agencies, including HHS, FDA, CMS, NIH, or other health-focused civilian organizations.
• Broader Federal Civilian Agencies, including the Department of Transportation (DOT), General Services Administration (GSA), Department of Agriculture (USDA), or comparable civilian agencies.
Experience researching agency procurement strategies, modernization initiatives, digital transformation programs, IT services, cloud, cybersecurity, data analytics, AI/ML, application modernization, or enterprise technology programs is considered a plus.

The salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 annually. The exact salary offered will depend on your qualifications, experience, and alignment with the responsibilities of the role.
