Job description

Position Description:

  •  Support the operations of First Equipment Company (FEC) by assisting with equipment inventory, logistics, and maintenance processes.
  • Help ensure tools, fleet vehicles, and equipment are available, safe, and functional to support construction field operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with equipment movement, basic inspections, and data entry under the guidance of senior FEC team members.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  •  Assist with day-to-day equipment operations, including receiving, staging, organizing, and tracking tools and equipment.
    Coordinate pickups and deliveries of equipment to and from project sites; support preparation, loading, and unloading activities.
  • Perform basic equipment inspections and assist with minor maintenance tasks to help ensure functionality and safety.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory records in equipment tracking systems and ERP platforms.
  • Support the scheduling and documentation of routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
  • Work with project teams and site personnel to respond to equipment requests, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
  • Assist with equipment check-in/check-out processes, tracking usage, and identifying damaged or missing items.
  • Follow company policies and safety protocols related to equipment handling, PPE, and operational standards.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in FEC storage yards, shops, and tool rooms.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts to help streamline logistics, improve efficiency, and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
