Description

SAIC is seeking a Requirements Analyst/Product Owner to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) in modernizing and managing mission-critical solutions. This multifaceted role combines the responsibilities of gathering and managing requirements with the strategic vision, prioritization, and execution skills of a Product Owner. The selected candidate will ensure requirements align with both technical feasibility and overall program objectives, working closely with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and customers to deliver impactful solutions. Candidate should have great communication skills to work with the subject matter experts to gather requirements for new work. Must have excellent organization skills; able to manage, track, recall, and associate a large amount of requirement information.

Note: This position will primarily be a Hybrid position (2-3 days per week onsite) and will require on-site workdays at the Pentagon or the MARK Center (Arlington, VA).

Job Duties:

  • Support technical planning and high-level/detailed requirements discussions, such as gathering, decomposing, and documenting requirements.
  • Write clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria to guide development and ensure alignment with customer needs and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine user stories, ensuring they effectively capture business objectives and user expectations.
  • Partner with the development team and leadership to establish and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with project goals and delivers value to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and development teams to clarify requirements, refine the roadmap, and deliver actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Actively leverage customer feedback and performance data to implement product adjustments, address scope changes, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Assist with project deliverable tasks, including documenting meeting minutes, creating technical documentation, conducting peer reviews, and preparing status reports.
  • Deliver customer demonstrations of completed functionality, highlighting value and gathering feedback.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Required Clearance:

  • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Minimum of 4+ years or experience as a Requirements Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated experience with technical documentation.
  • Ability to work closely with customer, subject matter experts and team in analyzing requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Proven experience translating complex requirements into actionable user stories and managing product backlogs. 

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
