Position Summary:

  • Utilize specific non-linear analysis software to analyze design performance and conformance.
  • Assist in product development, proposing design alternatives to achieve customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Specific Functions:

  • Assist in designing rubber products to meet customer needs using Abaqus and Hypermesh.
  • Design structural components meeting customer requirements with Abaqus and Hypermesh.
  • Create technical data for reviews, including FEA, stress/strain analysis, and product durability.
  • Communicate design and program issues clearly and concisely.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of information supporting program dates.
  • Represent ZLC-NA at customer meetings, as needed, positively and professionally.
  • Multi-task effectively, managing several projects simultaneously.
  • Interface routinely with Product Engineers and Managers.
  • Maintain knowledge in industry, engineering, math, and materials.
  • Stay updated on industry and engineering standards.

Competency Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 0-8 years experience in FEA Analysis
  • Other Requirements: Firm grasp of mathematics, engineering, and automotive industry information
