Job description

Department: Park Services
Title: Crowd Control Attendant
Location: New York Aquarium (Brooklyn)
Employment Type: Temporary/Seasonal
Status: Non-Exempt
Grade Level: Hourly
Reports To: Security Manager
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Must be able to work 4 to 5 days per week. Must be available to work all weekends and holidays. Schedule and work times vary and are dependent on weather, guest attendance and scheduled special events; schedule is subject to change through the spring, summer and fall seasons.
Essential duties may include:
  • Assist NYA security staff in maintaining crowd control throughout the NYA park and exhibits.
  • Assist NYA security staff in directing first responders (EMS, FDNY, NYPD,) to locations within the park and grounds.
  • Assist with guest egress at daily Aqua Theater shows and monitoring the theater during all demonstrations.
  • Assist NYA security staff with any issues of guest egress in all exhibit areas.
