Job description

Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Pharmacist to manage pharmaceutical services at a federal correctional institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. FCI Oxford is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in rural central Wisconsin. You will oversee medication dispensing, formulary management, drug utilization review, and clinical pharmacy services, ensuring BOP pharmacy standards and DEA controlled substance compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescription medications and counsel providers on drug interactions and formulary alternatives
  • Manage controlled substance inventory with precise DEA compliance documentation
  • Conduct drug utilization reviews and monitor for therapeutic appropriateness
  • Maintain pharmaceutical inventory and manage drug procurement
  • Provide clinical pharmacy consultations to physicians and mid-level providers
  • Participate in pharmacy and therapeutics committee activities
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians
  • Maintain compliance with BOP pharmacy policies and state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Required Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy
  • Active, unrestricted Wisconsin pharmacist license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current BLS certification
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to pass federal background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Institutional or correctional pharmacy experience
