Job description

Advanced Professional Security (APS) is seeking a professional and observant Non-Armed Security Officer to maintain a visible security presence for FCI Constructors, Inc at their site in Golden, CO to ensure Firewatch duties.
This is a great entry- to mid-level opportunity to begin your career in the unarmed security industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular foot patrols and remain observant of site and status
  • Observe, report, and document activity or incidents accurately and every 30 minutes to corporate
  • Respond promptly and professionally to security concerns, alarms, or disturbances
  • Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures in a courteous manner
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement when required
  • Complete incident reports and daily activity logs
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and timeliness
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to pass a CBI background check and drug test
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Prior security experience preferred (but not required)
  • Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods (at least 8-hour shifts)
  • Ensure self-discipline to remain cautious and unpreoccupied
Schedule & Availability
  • Night Shift (1730 - 0630)*
  • Full-time and part-time shifts available
