Job description

A Carter Architectural Millwork Installation Specialist is responsible for installing custom wood products, wood moldings, cabinetry, solid-surface materials, wall panel systems, and other architectural millwork on commercial construction projects.
The ideal candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well with others, and understands the importance of representing Carter Architectural Millwork professionally on every jobsite.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience installing commercial cabinetry, architectural millwork, wood moldings, solid-surface products, or wall panel systems is preferred.
  • Ability to read plans, shop drawings, and field measurements.
  • Working knowledge of installation tools, equipment, and fastening methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver materials and equipment commonly used during installation.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to project locations and stay overnight as required. Travel may include work throughout Georgia and other states within CAM's service area.
  • Current OSHA and First Aid certifications are a plus

Responsibilities of the Position:
  • Install custom wood products, wood moldings, cabinetry, casework, solid-surface materials, wall panel systems, and related architectural millwork.
  • Read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and installation details.
  • Field-fit, trim, scribe, level, and securely fasten products to meet project requirements.
  • Complete installations accurately and efficiently in accordance with CAM's quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, general contractors, and other trades.
  • Identify field conditions or installation concerns and communicate them promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Properly care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.
  • Complete punch-list and warranty work when required.
  • Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.
