Job description

Job Title:       Fast Food Attendant

Department: Food and Beverage Operations

Reports To:   Concept Manager

Status:           Non-Exempt

Date:             Nov 2023

Broad Functions: The Fast-Food Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties within a fast food / snack bar establishment which may include completing customer transactions, cleaning the food or stock areas, assisting in the kitchen area, and maintaining inventory; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Concept Manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1.   Greets customers and takes food orders; provides information about menus; looks for opportunity to "up-sell" products.

2.   Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required, and follows all Areas Guest Experience and cash handling policies and procedures.

3.   Cleans and stocks work area.

4.   Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operating equipment with peripheral electronic data processing. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart

5.   Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed.

6.   Receives inventory, moves, and lifts food and beverage products and supplies; maintain a solid knowledge of product and services available in unit.

7.   Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products  Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

1.   H.S. Diploma or equivalent.

2.   Cashier experience in a food and beverage environment highly desirable.

3.   Excellent guest service abilities while working directly with the public.

4.   Basic mathematics skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.

5.   Able to develop cooperative working relationships with others.

6.   Able to stand for long periods of time.
