Description
Sleep International is currently recruiting for experienced Production Team Members. These operational roles are key in producing quality sleep products that will be shipped to our customers.
You will be assisting in the sewing with different operations but mainly Panel Sort. You will eventually bew trained to use of the sewing machines to perform connected sewing operations in the manufacturing of mattress components and other materials.
Requirements
The sewing machine operator's job description entails tactfully operating single, double, or multiple sewing machines to put sections of fabric or different layers of material into fine finished materials.
• Check units to be sewn for damage. Clean stains, or set aside for repair
• Sew mattress covers with proper seam allowance
• Set aside sewn covers in proper bins, ensuring like covers are stored together
• Provides consistent flow of materials to the build table without interruption.
• Prepares and organizes components for final assembly and restock raw materials at point of use
• Inspects units and finished units for unacceptable flaws or structural defects
• Performs all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures and maintains workstation in a neat, clean and orderly fashion
• May move mattress materials/components between floor, pallets, conveyors and/or tables.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Requires very good hand eye coordination
• Ability to work at a fast paced repetitive job
• Must be able to work flexible hours on second shift
