With ISO 9001:2015 and 17100:2015 certifications, AGI provides services in more than 100 languages, employing innovative technologies and methodologies and applying best practices from both the Government and commercial arenas to advance each customerโ€™s unique communication and operational objectives throughout the U.S. and across the globe.


POSITION SUMMARY: AGI is currently looking for a Farsi Language Instructor to support an upcoming government contract. *This contract is pending award

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach adult professional students in preparation for the world of work utilizing current strategies and theories that address myriad adult learner individual differences (age, sex/gender, education level, experience level, motivation, rank, socioeconomic status, personal history, etc.).
  • Deliver instruction and conduct assessments across proficiency levels ranging from ILR level 0 through ILR Level 3+.
  • Adapt authentic materials or repurpose traditional language materials using the Interagency Language Roundtable Language Skill Level Descriptions to tailor curricula to meet student needs.
  • Integrate audio, video, and computer assisted multi-media into the foreign language classroom.
  • Instruct and explain cultural, technical, and military concepts, vocabulary, and terms required by each lesson plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least five years of experience teaching a foreign language.
  • Bachelorโ€™s level degree in language instruction or a related social science field, such as History, Political Science, International Relations, Anthropology, Archeology, and Cultural Geography
  • Experience in Instructional Design or be certified in Instructional Systems Development (ISD).
  • Extensive global regional expertise and knowledge of foreign language teaching techniques and instructional systems.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of learning theory, the psychology of learning, educational psychology, and Instructional Product Development as well as instructional design practices, principles, techniques, and curriculum development.
  • Extensive knowledge of standardized, web-based, interactive course delivery systems.
  • Extensive expertise in instructor facilitation and faculty development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in multimedia design and delivery methods (e.g., imbedded video instruction).
  • General knowledge of and competency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Adobe Acrobat Professional, and other common productivity software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience teaching foreign languages to military students.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 9-5 schedule or as required by the customer.


PAY RANGE: Ascensus Global (AGI) pay and level will be determined by several factors including education, geographic location, contract labor categories, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, or market data.
