About this position

- Position Summary:

The DC Manager (Produce Sales & Operations Manager) at Houston will oversee all aspects of the Distribution Center, including efficiency improvement, sales development, monitor margin and workplace productivity, facility and vehicle maintenance as well as food safety with guidance from the Food Safety Director, as well This individual will be responsible for effectively operating the facility and managing the personnel under the direction of the Network Sales General Manager.


- Qualifications and requirements:

  • High School or General Education - Required
  • Management Experience three (3) years - Preferred
  • College Degree - Preferred
  • At least five (5) years of previous experience in manufacturing, food services, produce or retail.
  • Food customer service/distribution experience preferred.
  • Previous sales experience preferred


- Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide strong leadership to distribution center operations staff.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and motivate employees to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions, invoices, purchase orders, returns, and ERP day-end processing.
  • Manage procurement and inventory levels to ensure consistent product supply and profitability.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, including sending price lists and responding to inquiries.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA, safety protocols, and company policies through inspections and corrective actions.
  • Maintain daily food safety program requirements, logs, and facility standards.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, developing reports and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement SOPs to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
  • Coordinate with area managers to support company strategy, budgeting, and financial performance.
  • Ensure daily tasks are completed, employee questions are addressed, and the facility is secure.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
