Job description

Job Title:         Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration:         2 Years (possible extension)

Location:         Fargo, ND 58102

Shift:                1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot assembly tools, equipment, and processes
  • Support PLCs, robotics (Fanuc), and automation systems
  • Install, wire, program, and maintain automation equipment
  • Create/update MWIs and JDAAT programs
  • Support CNC programs and production tooling
  • Assist with fixture, jig, and prototype design
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Participate in CI, Lean, and assembly line improvements
  • Perform time studies and line balancing
  • Maintain documentation and engineering changes
  • Support ISO 9001 activities
Must Have
  • 3+ years experience in manufacturing, electronics, or engineering
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • PLC basics and ladder logic (Studio 5000 preferred)
  • Robotics exposure (Fanuc/UR Robots)
  • Read schematics and engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and electronics
  • Experience with CNC, tooling, and automation equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems
  • Ability to work independently
Nice to Have
  • 7+ years related experience
  • PFMEA participation
  • Experience with metallurgy or lab testing
