Job Summary: The Crate Assembler I will be responsible for assembling packaging crates and subassemblies used to ship product.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Assemble wooden crates using pneumatic nail guns, drills, and/or impact drivers
  • Ensure crates being built are to the highest quality by adhering to established procedures and approved processes
  • Work with the highest level of safety.
  • Fulfill production orders on time to meet product delivery times
  • Use of scanners and computers to communicate production order status
  • Provide feedback for process improvement opportunities that would enhance safety, productivity, or efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve area cleanliness to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to flex into other work areas as needed
  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to use hand tools

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Be able to safely lift or move at least 50 lbs.
  • Be able to safely climb stairs or ladder.
