Essential Functions:
  • Operate robotic thermal spray equipment to apply protective coatings to aerospace gas turbine components.
  • Prepare components for coating through blasting, masking, cleaning, and fixture installation.
  • Program, operate, and monitor automated coating systems, robotic manufacturing cells, and related production equipment.
  • Inspect coating thickness, coverage, and overall quality using precision measuring equipment and engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, engineering drawings, and coating specifications.
  • Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation while reporting non-conforming conditions as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance on thermal spray equipment, tooling, and automated systems.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure customer requirements and production schedules are met.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in thermal spray, aerospace manufacturing, CNC machining, industrial robotics, automated manufacturing, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating thermal spray equipment such as GTV, Sulzer Metco, or similar coating systems preferred.
  • Experience with HVOF, Plasma Spray, APS (Atmospheric Plasma Spray), Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBC), or other industrial coating processes preferred.
  • Experience operating or programming industrial robots such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar automated manufacturing systems is a plus.
  • CNC machine operation or programming experience is welcomed.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; SAP or other ERP system experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
