Location: 325 Arbor Court, Winchester, VA 22602
Work Hours: 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday

Dixon Fire, a proud division of The Dixon Group, is looking for a CNC Operator to support our manufacturing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the CNC function and grow with a great company-we will train the right person! In this role, you'll learn to set up and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) lathes to produce high-quality metal components that meet precise specifications. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. This position also offers opportunities to perform additional tasks, such as operating a laser marker or assisting with light assembly to support customer demand and expand your skill set.

What You'll Do:
  • Learn to set up and operate CNC machines (experience with Fanuc and Mazak controls is a plus)
  • Identify and resolve machining or program issues
  • Perform inspections to ensure components meet drawing and quality specifications
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Complete basic daily maintenance on machines
  • Rotate between assignments as needed to support production
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training

What We Are Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a CNC operator or a strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn (we will train the right candidate!)
  • Familiarity with G-code programming or blueprints is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls preferred
  • Skilled or willing to learn the use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Strong reading, math, and data entry abilities
  • General computer proficiency
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for the full shift
