Job description

OVERVIEW:

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and electrical systems in the plant. Other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE:

FULL TIME 12 HOUR SHIFTS 2-2-3 SCHEDULE

PAY DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE UP TO $35/HR

AVERAGE 14 DAYS OFF EACH MONTH

EXENDED WEEKENDS OFF EVERY OTHER WEEK

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 Inspects and tests machinery and equipment, and follows all preventative maintenance schedules.

 Discusses any problems with the machinery or equipment with managers/supervisors.

 Dismantles defective machines and equipment. Installs new or repaired parts.

 Follows all safety procedures and policies. Must be able to operate with a respirator on and maintain cleanliness of all safety equipment.

 Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Installs and repairs electrical equipment.

 Designs, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic.

 Ability to react to basic system alarms and reset as necessary.

 Ability to communicate and work effectively in close proximity with co-workers to inform them of work-related problems, production updates, and to plan, organize, and complete job tasks.

 Physically move carts, pallets, and toolboxes from one area to another in order to perform necessary repairs or replacement of parts.

 Regular and consistent attendance.

 Agility in multitasking in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

 Follows all company policies, procedures and safety rules preventing on-the-job injuries by maintaining a clean safe operation and work area.

 Maintain a clean and safe work area.

 Understand and support the Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems.

 Support continual improvement initiatives.

 Support JSOX compliance.

 Overtime as required to meet customer demands.

 Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

1 year certificate from a college or technical school; or 3
