JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Robotic Fitting and Welding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of robotic welding systems to produce high-quality metal components and assemblies according to engineering specifications. This role requires a blend of hands-on welding knowledge and technical aptitude to ensure efficient, safe, and quality production.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical diploma or certification in welding technology, robotics, or manufacturing preferred.
Additional training in mechanical systems, CAD/CAM, and quality inspection or automation programming is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of experience in manufacturing and 3D modeling or a related field.
Hands-on experience operating or programming robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, TEKLA).
Prior experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, technical drawings and work orders required.
ERP software experience preferred.
Forklift or pallet jack operation experience a plus.
Bilingual (Spanish/English – read, write, and speak) preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, technical drawing, AWS standards and processes.
Ability to set up, calibrate, and operate robotic welding systems, including parameter selection (voltage, current, wire feed, travel speed).
Skilled in programming or modifying robotic weld paths using specialized software(FANUC, ABB, KUKA, TEKLA, ZEMANS or equivalent).
Strong understanding of weld quality requirements - penetration, bead profile, and dimensional accuracy.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Solid mechanical and troubleshooting skills for robotic and welding equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
