Job description

Are you called to serve Christ and others?

Do you believe God transforms lives?

Do you steward the resources God provides with wisdom?

Are you a team player?

Do you care for people, knowing all are made in the image of God?

If you answered "yes" to all those questions, and have experience in ministry work, then maybe God is calling you to join the staff at The City Mission!

For 115 years, God has been using the Mission to reach hearts and change lives. It starts with emergency shelter for men, women and children experiencing homelessness - but that is just the beginning. While with us, residents participate in holistic, gospel-centered services that include chapel, case management, group counseling, workforce development and job training.

In short, our staff are City Missionaries offering help and hope to all people through the transforming power of God's love.

Right now, we are looking to add a full-time Family Ministry Manager to our team at Laura's Home. As the Family Ministry Manager, you'll lead a team of childcare teachers, case managers, and volunteers while developing Gospel-centered programs that help children grow spiritually, emotionally, behaviorally, and academically. You'll have the opportunity to train and coach staff, support parents through parenting education and trauma-informed care, build community partnerships, and continually strengthen programs that help families experience hope and transformation. If you're passionate about leading people, investing in children, and using your gifts to serve families through a Christ-centered mission, this is an opportunity to make a lasting Kingdom impact.

If you have the following qualifications and experience, this might be the job for you!

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in related field is strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years managing licensed early childcare/daycare centerstrongly preferred.
  • Early childhood curriculum development experience preferred.
  • Staff development and supervision experience preferred.
  • Strength-based child development communication and program knowledge preferred.
  • Trauma-informed care and crisis intervention experience preferred.

Before clicking "apply," here's the fine print: Ministry work is challenging. Serving people is challenging. And as each staff member is a minister of the gospel, we have high standards for personal conduct and hold sincerely to our statement of faith.

If you're "just looking for another job," this isn't it. But if you're being called to urban Missionary work, apply today to be a Family Ministry Manager!

Applications will only be accepted through The City Mission website (www.thecitymission.org/careers)
