Job description

This individaul is responsible for management of Tremco's various product safety compliance programs to ensure the safe and legal packaging, distribution, and application of Tremco products globally.  

Requirements:

  • Responsible for managing Tremco's product safety compliance programs, specifically maintaining compliance with U.S. TSCA, EU REACH, EU CLP, and other global chemical regulations.   This includes coordination of chemical reviews and raw material evaluations with the R&D and Technical Service staff, as well as coordination with RPM international colleagues for import/export compliance.
  • Interfacing with Product Managers via SAP and SmartSheet to facilitate new product rollouts.
  • Responsible for maintaining Tremco's transportation safety data in SAP to ensure packaging and transport compliance with U.S. DOT, IMDG, and IATA regulations. 
  • Responsible for maintaining product Safety Data Sheets in the SAP database for all Tremco.
  •  Assist marketing department to ensure product labels and technical data sheets are compliant with various regulations and review/approve all labels prior to release.
  • Assist in maintaining North American Chemical Management System. Duties include developing, reviewing and releasing SDSs and Label Guides, and reviewing and updating substance toxicological data.
  • Compile data for submissions related to environmental programs (TSCA, TRI, etc.) and corporate EHS submissions.
  • Responsible for interfacing with agency representatives during compliance inspections.
  • Stay informed of global and national changes in EHS laws and regulations, proactively adapting the company's systems and policies to maintain compliance.

Background Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Safety / Environmental Management or Safety Sciences.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with SAP preferred
