The Role


The role of the Business Development Representative is defined as:

  • Managing the early stages of equipment opportunities until they are qualified
  • Prospecting pre-selected company lists on the phone – minimum 100 proactive calls per day required
  • Finding the right contacts at the companies by phone calls and scouring LinkedIn
  • Confirming that the company is a good fit for our products and has need of our products
  • Sending preliminary information to the prospect about BlastOne
  • Qualified opportunities generated are passed along to a Senior Inside Sales person to take to the next step.

 Required Skills/Qualifications


  • Patient, friendly, and outgoing personality
  • Thrive in a team-based office environment
  • Passionate about telephone sales work and speaking to potential customers
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in talking to customers
  • Demonstrable organizational skills
  • Superb attention to detail. The detail matters! If we can't get the small things right, we'll never hope to get the big things right!
  • Brilliant task and time management skills. You always complete your assigned tasks on time, every time!

Preferred Skills/Qualifications


  • Demonstrable experience as telesales or customer service representative- minimum 2 years’ experience preferred
  • Demonstrable experience in successful cold call prospecting – minimum 2 years’ experience preferred
  • Experience with industrial equipment, construction or related projects preferred
  • Proven experience in communication with C-Level management
  • Experience working in a small, highly accountable, tight-knit team
  • Negotiation Experience preferred
  • Fluent in use of salesforce.com CRM system
  • Ability to write technical sales letters
  • Understanding of Corrosion Control Industry
  • Willingness to take on other people’s problems
