Job description

Veloci Running is an Austin running shoe brand. We're on a mission to empower people to do more of what they love through footwear designed to provide the highest level of foot comfort and lower leg support possible.

We are hiring one Marketing Intern for about ten hours a week this fall, in person in Austin.

In a given month you might help run a group run out of our Austin space, support content ideation, and scour our site for ways we can improve our messaging. You will see how the whole thing fits together, and have the opportunity to work closely with the team building across all areas of the business.

WHAT YOU WOULD WORK ON

Events and community. Helping support our group runs, race expos, and local activations. Being involved in the planning and research for larger scale events in seasons ahead, and being a part of the execution of the plan as it rolls out.

Website and retention marketing support. Getting involved in how we speak to and connect with the Veloci community across all platforms.

Customer listening. Reading reviews, survey responses and DMs, and pulling out the language customers use about our shoes. Some of our best marketing lines came from customers first, and finding the next one is a real job.

Content support. Capturing photo and video at events, keeping our asset library organized so people can find things, and helping get posts out the door.

The mix shifts with what is happening that month. Some weeks lean toward events, some toward email, some toward research. You will be told what matters most that week and then trusted to go do it.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You are a student or someone early on who wants marketing experience at a brand with real work attached to it.

You are a self-starter with a proactive and curious mindset.

You are organized. When you say you will handle something, it gets handled and to a high level.

You write clearly. Not polished agency writing, just clear sentences and good instincts about tone.

You like being around people. A lot of this is events, run clubs and customers, and it goes better if you enjoy that part.

You are in Austin and can be in person for a majority of your hours

Nice to have: experience with Canva, Klaviyo, Shopify, or in content creation with understanding of how to engineer it to perform.

WHAT YOU GET OUT OF IT

Tangible impact potential you can share about that came from the work and teams you were a part of.

The opportunity to express and create based on your ideas and be involved in conversations with the team on a range of topics and projects.

A glimpse of DTC ecommerce, brand building, organic content strategy, product marketing, and community marketing at the same time at a running footwear brand.
