PURPOSE OF POSITION:TheRecruiting Manageris responsible forthe development, implementation, and coordination of recruiting strategies for the resort. This encompasses both domestic and international recruiting, including work visas. Nurture and develop relationships with hiring managers and outside partnerships. Continually educate yourself on industry trends and best practices in the recruiting world and actively seek innovative recruiting practices. Working with our marketing team, the Recruiting Mangeris responsible forall web initiatives, print advertising, marketing collateral, social media, and related channels. Must be comfortable speaking in public, presentations, and interviewing applicants. Developmentof interviewandselectionbest practices in alignment with companywidestandards, andprovide direction on these practices to all levels of hiring managers.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+yearsof Full Cycle Recruiting

  • 1+ years of leadership experience

  • In-house recruiting experience preferred

  • HRIS knowledge and experience - Workday preferred

  • Lead the recruiting team with integrity and create a positive and fun work environment

  • Extremely organized with an acute attention to detail

  • Strong communicationskills, written and verbal, and be able to work well under pressure

  • Strong interpersonal skillsin order tointeract effectively with a wide variety of personalities

  • Available for overnight travel as recruiting needs dictate

  • Guidemanagers in current and legal interviewing and hiring practices

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General:

  • Spend time with managers andpointpersonrecruiterfor each department or division tomanagedemands and changes for each position.

  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of our recruiting and HRIS systems and methods used by managers and the recruit team to manage applicants and rehires.

  • Coordinate which positionsare applicableto budgeted recruit trips.

  • Develop a shared schedule with the Recruiters for walk in job inquiries, correspondence, and maintenance ofshared emailsdepending upon workload, out of town recruiting duties and vacation schedules.

  • Partner with our marketing teamto manageall web initiatives, print advertising, marketing collateral, social media, and related channels which drive candidates to hiring managers.

  • Work closely with our Marketing Team and the Director of Talent Acquisition at Alterra for job pushes.

  • Generate ongoing staffing metrics and an end of season Recruit Report in conjunction with the Recruit team showing statisticsregardingall aspects of the hiring picture and showing the effectiveness of the recruiting efforts.

Applicant Management

  • Oversee and work on all job postings and procedures with the Strategic Sourcing Recruiter to ensure that every job listed has a brief job description and is posted accurately.

  • Communicate withmanagersthe expectations of themregardingmanaging their applicant flow and follow up to ensure this is being followed.

  • Respond to all applicants in a departmental manager's absence if requested.

  • Participate in conducting initial screenings,interviews,and follow up with applicants when applicable.

  • Generate job offers when applicable.

Domestic/Local Recruiting Efforts

  • Develop a recruiting plan and budget with therecruitteam and guidance fromthe VP of Human Resources.

  • Assistwith the planning, booking, and organization ofairfare, hotels, rental car, and other expenses for any off-site job fairs. Attend as many of these functions as possible as the representative of the company or sendappropriate managersorsupervisortorepresentthe company whenappropriate.

  • Keep a record of all trips with details of contact information and itineraries for easy accessforreporting.

  • Plan and organize all local recruiting efforts including fall onsite job fairs with therecruit team.

  • Work with Marketing on arecruitingplan annually.

  • Researchand order recruiting swag based on budget.

  • Organize and guide the Academic Internship Program and the Culinary and Baking & Pastry Externship Programs.Match candidates to positions and ensure curriculum requirements are met.Follow up with managers on the progress of students and offer project suggestions and assistance.

  • Work with area schools to bring awareness of job opportunities with Deer Valley Resort.

International Focus

  • Maintain knowledgeofchangesin regulations governing the J-1and H-2B visa programs.

  • Guide and direct the International Recruiter to evaluate and coordinate all international hiring efforts by selecting J-1 sponsor companies to partner with, determining number of students needed by manager, coordinating with Hospitality Internship options (including summer options when applicable), organize virtual interviews and travel for international job fairs when applicable.

  • OverseeandassistallH-2B efforts with the International Recruiter and chosen attorney.

  • Oversee andassistthe International Recruiter in processing the offers for all visa employees (J-1, F-1, & H2B).

  • Ensure the International Recruiter communicates with the HR Front Deskteamthe records needed for I-9 documents and system setup when onboarding a J-1, F-1 and H-2B worker.

  • Follow up with all concerns and issues that may arise with the students.Seek assistance from the HR Director when needed.

Other Duties:

  • Should be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of other members of the HR staff, having the ability toassistthem as needed, and answergeneral questionsasappropriate.

  • Assistwith employee functions and events organized by Human Resources.

  • Supportofpeak timeoperationsincluding work outside of HumanResourcesto ensure the Deer Valley Difference is provided to all guests.
