As a University Co-op in our Commercial organization, you will gain hands-on experience analyzing fast-moving energy markets and helping our teams deliver practical solutions for customers. Working from our Houston, TX headquarters, you will partner with experienced commercial professionals to support market analysis, risk management, and logistics optimization. This part-time co-op lets you apply what you're learning in the classroom while exploring a future career at Phillips 66.
Your Experience Could Include
  • Support commercial teams by analyzing energy market data, pricing trends, and supply and demand fundamentals to help identify opportunities and risks.
  • Assist with developing and updating tools, reports, and presentations that summarize market intelligence for commercial leaders.
  • Contribute to evaluations of logistics options across pipelines, terminals, marine, and other modes to help optimize asset utilization and customer solutions.
  • Partner with commercial and analytics colleagues to validate data, troubleshoot discrepancies, and help ensure information quality in key systems.
  • Participate in projects that improve commercial processes and performance, such as process mapping, benchmarking, and simple data automation or visualization tasks.
  • Engage with recent graduates and experienced leaders to learn about career paths, gain feedback on your work, and build your understanding of the energy value chain.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Phillips 66 safety and ethical standards in all analyses, recommendations, and interactions.

What You'll Bring - Required
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or a Master's degree program.
  • Greater than 60 hours of earned college credit.
  • Graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Available to work part time between 20-25 hours per week during the co-op term.
  • Available to work at the Houston, TX headquarters.
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a related industry or functional area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint or Python.

  • Desire to collaborate, ask questions, and bring innovative thinking to customer challenges.
