Job description

Who we are: Touchstone Therapy Center has been helping families and children in Utah for over 25 years. We specialize in providing therapeutic services to children in foster care, adoptive families, and children who have suffered trauma and/or abuse.
Who we are looking for: Touchstone Therapy Center is looking for interns who are currently enrolled in a master's level social work or mental health counseling degree through an accredited university and are in their 2nd internship year who are looking for an opportunity to join our amazing team of caring and dedicated therapists to learn, grow, and contribute to the people and communities that we serve. We have openings for interns to work a minimum of 15 clinical billable hours per week in our Layton and Salt Lake City. These locations service Cache, Box Elder, Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, Tooele, and Washinton counties.
To be successful at Touchstone, you must be ethical, and accountable, believe in holding yourself and others to a high standard, be willing to travel to meet the needs of our therapeutic population and be very self-motivated. You will have support and resources from other clinicians, supervisors, and other tools when you need it but we also believe in empowering our teams with space to do their best work.
What makes us different? Our therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, evidenced-based, and attachment-focused and also includes a mental health assessment to build the correct therapeutic foundation for the future. While this is challenging work, the reward of seeing the positive impact you can make for the families we care for makes it all worth it!
Our services currently include primarily in-office, telehealth, and some in-home. We also have dedicated leaders and trainers within Touchstone that are here to support you as interns during your time with us to make this an incredible learning experience.
What we offer: In return for your strong work ethic and care for clients, we offer a paid internship, mileage reimbursement, and a great learning environment with the potential of part-time and full-time employment opportunities here at Touchstone for the right candidates after graduation.
Pay: $25.00 per clinical billable hour, $0.625/mile reimbursement, and $18/hour for travel outside of the county that you are assigned.
