Job Overview
M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital, located in Burnsville MN, is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool! Are you ready to make a different in people's lives?
We have a great opportunity for an RN to gain experience working with a wide variety of patients working in our Float Pool. As well as be a part of our award winning, caring and committed staff in delivering patient and family centered care. Float Pool RN's at Fairview Ridges will support various units such as; medical, surgical, cardiac, oncology, orthopedics/spine, and observation.
This position is 60 hours in two weeks or a 0.75 FTE, Night shift (7p-7:30a), 12 hour shifts, working every third weekend
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Responsibilities
  • Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
  • Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
  • Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
  • Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
  • Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)

Qualifications:
Required:
Licenses and Certifications
  • MN RN licensure by start date
  • BLS for health care providers
  • Telemetry competency required within 90 days of hire.
  • Required to validate competency and carry a typical patient care assignment in at least one of the following two clusters:
    • Adult Medicine (competency within 6 months in Med/Surg (3rd , 5th and 6th floors), Critical Care Unit (Medical overflow /telemetry patients), and the Observation unit

Preferred:
Licenses and Certifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 1 year medical/surgical hospital nursing experience preferred
