Job Description
This Nurse Manager role plans, manages, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities of the Fairview Ridges OR department including resource management, quality, regulatory compliance, educational opportunities, and financial management. This role serves as a leader and role model to all staff in this busy surgical area.
Fairview Ridges Hospital OR is located in Burnsville, MN and has a total of 14 Operating suites, averaging 12,000+ cases annually. We serve pediatric to geriatric patient populations. Procedures include Orthopedics, Da Vinci Robotics, Urology, Dental, Obstetrics, Gynecology, ENT, Podiatry, Hand, Spine, Laser, General Replacement, and Plastic Specialties. Fairview Ridges is an AIMIS Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Surgery and a Blue Cross/Blue Shield Distinction Center for Spine Surgery. The FRH OR has maintained some of the highest scores within the system for Safety and Teamwork as well as Employee Engagement.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field. If bachelor's is not in nursing then must have a master's degree in nursing.

Preferred Education
  • Advanced degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum License/Certification/Registration
  • Minnesota RN license upon hire

Minimum Experience
  • 3 years clinical nursing experience in an OR setting
  • 1 year of leadership experience

Preferred Experience
  • Five years varied and progressive OR RN experience
  • Experience in staffing, budget, human resourcesand finance
  • Two years progressive experience in health care leadership with increasing level of administrative responsibility.
