Job description

Job Overview
Fairview Range is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant to join our podiatry care team at the Fairview Mesaba Clinic in Hibbing, MN.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant, you will provide high quality health care for the entire family from newborn to geriatric, with the full range of primary and specialty care services. With clinics located in Hibbing, Mountain Iron, and Nashwauk, we provide convenient and easy access to our care services. Through our relationship with M Health Fairview, your local primary care provider can extend direct access to the physician specialists and advanced services offered by University of Minnesota Physicians to you and your family.
The LPN/MA serves as a clinical and organizational resource to the Clinic Providers and Support Services in coordinating the delivery of nursing care.
Schedule: This position will work 64 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day/evening shift. Weekends as needed. You will be primarily based in Hibbing but may provide coverage in Nashwauk and Mountain Iron as needed.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibiting excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize patient care needs.
  • Capable of functioning under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Facilitating the exchange, reception, and thoughtful examination of information. Clearly defining objectives and devising effective action plans. Showcasing proficiency in making informed decisions, operating autonomously, and prioritizing the diverse needs of patient care.

Required Qualifications:
  • Current Minnesota LPN Licensure or current Minnesota MA Certification (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • Current BLS certification or attends BLS class within six months of employment and maintains certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous nursing experience preferred.
