The Acton-Boxborough Regional School District is seeking skilled and experienced licensed practical nurse.

Position Title:  Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Schedule: Part-Time, per the school year calendar (approximately 19 hours week)


Compensation: $35.00$45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
Location: Acton-Boxborough School District, Massachusetts
Primary Work Setting: Elementary School Health Office


About the Position:
The Acton-Boxborough School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school health services team for the 20262027 school year. In this role, you will provide high-quality, student-centered nursing care in a collaborative and supportive environment. The LPN works closely with the building nurse(s) to support student health needs and promote a safe and healthy school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the building nurse(s) to provide direct care to students.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to student illness, injury, and medical emergencies.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with physician orders and school protocols.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential student health records.
  • Support student wellness and preventive health initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Follow Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines and district nursing policies.
  • Attend field trips as needed to support student health and safety

Preferred Experience:

  • School nursing and/or pediatric nursing experience.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association or American Red Cross; in-person certification required)
  • Successful completion of all required background checks, including CORI and fingerprinting.
