We have behavioral health facilities and services located in Kirkland, Everett and Monroe, Washington. Mental and behavioral health challenges are a growing concern within our communities. POSITION SUMMARY: REGISTERED DIETITIAN - PART TIME

Fairfax Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a Part time Registered Dietitian. The Registered Dietitian plans modified diets as requested by the attending physician/licensed practitioner, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and counsels patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation and nutritional principles. Monitors the performance improvement plans of the Dietary Services department and provides input in the development and implementation of patient care plans in relation to nutritional needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Education: Requires a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition or dietetics from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree in clinical nutrition or dietetics preferred.

 

Experience: At least one (1) year post internship work experience in clinical nutrition preferred, in a health care facility with concentration in nutritional assessment and counseling. Prior experience with eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and other behavioral conditions preferred.

 

Licensure:  Registration with the Commission on Dietetics and certified dietitian with the State of Washington.
