Job description

Legal Secretary (Litigation) Irvine, CA (100% Onsite) $35 - $50/hour
LHH is recruiting on behalf of a confidential law firm client seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join its Irvine office. This is a newly created position supporting a collaborative team of attorneys with a primary focus on labor & employment and civil litigation matters.
Responsibilities
  • Support approximately 2-3 attorneys with litigation and administrative needs
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents in state and federal courts
  • Manage court filings, calendaring, and litigation deadlines
  • Draft and prepare Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents
  • Assist with motions, pleadings, discovery, and case management
  • Coordinate service of process and litigation-related correspondence
  • Maintain attorney calendars and provide administrative support for workplace investigations and litigation matters
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and other office administration functions as needed
  • Support technology-driven initiatives and process improvements within the firm
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of litigation legal secretary experience preferred
  • Labor & Employment experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency with state and federal e-filing procedures
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and court rules
  • Experience preparing pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and related litigation materials
  • Familiarity with calendaring systems and litigation deadline management
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software and processes
  • Paralegal experience or education is a plus
