And that’s only the beginning.**Job Summary**We are looking for a specialized Quality Engineer with deep expertise in AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI). This position focuses on compiling, verifying, and supporting the creation of comprehensive FAI reports for detail parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. You will work directly with Quality Engineers to map engineering drawing characteristics, perform the required physical inspections, and ensure full alignment with regulatory and aerospace flow-down requirements.This position is in Middletown, Connecticut.**Roles and Responsibilities*** Inspect sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and complex components to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.* Measure and record dimensional data explicitly required for AS9102 Form 3 ballooning and reporting.* Audit assembly layouts and mechanical fits using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and thread gages.* Collaborate with Quality Engineers to accelerate the completion, review, and sign-off of First Article packages.* Ensure all customer flow-downs, process specifications, and assembly criteria are met.**Basic Qualifications*** 5+ years of quality inspection experience in the aerospace industry.* Proven expertise working directly with AS9102 FAI standards and documentation protocols.* Competence in reading and interpreting complex assembly drawings and bill of materials (BOM).* Experience using precision mechanical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, functional gages).* Ability to pass a technical interview and client evaluation if requested.* al interview and client evaluation prior to project assignment.* Must be a US citizen**Preferred Qualifications*** Advanced knowledge of GD&T data reporting and validation.* Strong familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and compliance.* Experience with specialized quality data systems (e.g., Net-Inspect).* Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 assembly and workmanship standards.Salary Range: **$82,500 - $92,500 annually**. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, skills, and other factors permitted by applicable law.
