Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finals amp; FAI Inspector to join our team in Roscoe, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of first article inspections and final product inspections in compliance with customer and internal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compare new and previous first articles to verify data consistency and accuracy.
  • Approve first piece inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) customer requirements.
  • Create and utilize inspection programs to streamline and standardize inspection processes.
  • Identify and implement alternate measurement methods when standard methods are not feasible.
  • Operate vari-roll equipment for dimensional verification.
  • Use optical dividing machines for precise measurement tasks.
  • Perform measurements using calipers, micrometers, gages, and other precision tools.
  • Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD amp;T) principles during inspections.
  • Utilize coordinate measuring machine (CMM) skills to verify part geometry and function.
Required Skills amp; Qualifications
  • Proven experience in first article inspection (FAI) and final product inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of SPC and PPAP customer requirements.
  • Proficiency in creating and using inspection programs.
