Job Responsibilities:

Enterprise Cloud Solution architect will be responsible to create and execute cloud computing strategies by designing, developing, and managing cloud infrastructure and assets to help a business meet its goals. The position will be responsible for deploying well architected framework pillars, ensuring customers are following best practices, guidance, and recommendations to develop cloud solutions that are secure, resilient, efficient, and managed with operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design cloud-based storage solutions for both structured and unstructured data

  • Recommend best practices for building secure and reliable applications

  • Identify and define which cloud-services meet a given technical requirement

  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development and delivery

  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve

  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, external services and internal resources required

  • Work with source control tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub)

  • Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production

Who we are looking for

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years experience in developing technology solutions, including but not limited to: operations/engineering, networking engineering, infrastructure/database architecture, and/or applications development.

  • 3+ years of experience in software development

  • 2+ years of experience in microservice design or containerization

  • 7+ years of experience with developing cloud-based solutions on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure

  • 5+ years of experience with frameworks, architecture patterns and design patterns

  • AWS or Azure Solutions Architect or Developer Associate certification

  • Develop flexible architectures that enable capabilities that are leveraged across Magna

  • Design cloud-based solutions that comply to GDPR and CCPA standards

  • Broad technology experience across at least 2-3 of these areas including: cloud architecture, applications development, relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytics, machine learning, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, server less, CI/CD, management and monitoring, cloud migrations, IT transformation.

  • Expertise with REST based Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) methods and implementation technologies such as microservices

  • Experience architecting/designing solutions built on cloud

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.

  • Presentation and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and technical teams.

  • Outstanding and proven leadership skills in working with senior-level management helping in decision making

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP and private cloud technologies

  • Understanding of Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, Software-as-a-Service, and Function-as-a-Service models

  • Understanding of the public Cloud Shared Responsibility Model

  • Strong background in authentication and authorization protocols and applications such as Azure Active Directory, AWS Cognito, and OAuth 2.0.

  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures

  • Experience with Docker containers

  • Experience with multiple programming languages (ex: JavaScript, C#, Python, C++, Java)

  • Ability to write code to interact with cloud native services
