Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Assists where needed throughout the warehouse. Including but not limited to; pick, pack, stock, new returns, cores, defects, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Operates an RF scanner to complete various functions including but not limited to: picking, stocking, creating stock batches, process new returns/cores/defects, find discrepancies, etc.

  • Maintains clean workspace of any debris

  • Effectively and accurately completes tasks and functions as assigned

  • Responsible for maintaining familiarity and knowledge of company product line locations

  • Communicates issues, opportunities and obstacles as they arise

Knowledge, Skills, Duties and Abilities:

  • Able to perform tasks accurately

  • Must be detail-oriented

  • Able to stay organized, on task, and work independently

  • Able to use scanners in conjunction with the inventory system

  • Checks and restocks merchandise & inventory, inspect for damage, and verify counts rates on a consistent basis

  • Meet and maintain accuracy and production goals

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce both individually and as part of a team

  • Must be able to utilize pallet jacks as needed; complete appropriate pre-trip/post-trip inspection and maintenance paperwork

  • Completion of any documentation associated with current assigned function

  • Comply with federal, state, local, OSHA, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Perform other duties and/or work in other departments of work location as assigned

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test

  • Wear appropriate footwear protection and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Company policy

  • Acknowledgement of and adherence to all Company policies and procedures as contained within the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver's Handbooks

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop

  • Also required to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch or crawl, talk, speak, and hear

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
